Program Description

The Master of Science in Information Technology focuses on the integration of information technology with business problems and opportunities, enabling information systems professionals to understand technological issues as well as business concepts and fundamentals. This program provides good insight into technical and management courses and is helpful to students to progress faster in the corporate hierarchy.

ABMTC’s Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) program enjoys full accreditation by  World Certification Institute (WCI). WCI is a global certifying body that grants credential awards to individuals as well as accredits courses of organizations.This accreditation will help individuals to apply for higher credentials such as “World Certified Specialist Professional (WCSP)”

  1. Acquiring knowledge of Current and Upcoming Industry Trends:
    Upon successful completion of masters in science, graduates will have acquired a broad base of knowledge about technologies that create various software used in the industry and apply skills for improving performance of this software.
  2. Obtaining diverse Skill Set:
    The graduates will be prepared to enter into a diverse and exciting career field, and will be equipped with the knowledge needed to pursue a career in a concentration of their choice.
  3. Developing a business perspective:
    Apart from gaining the technical knowledge, graduates are given exposure to management courses like financial accounting and marketing management to find the applications of the techniques developed in the real world.
  4. Developing the Entrepreneurship skills:
    The graduates of MS are given an understanding of starting business of services under IT management to help them become entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
  • Academic Eligibility: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Information Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology

  1. Semester I – 4 Months : 3 Courses
  2. Semester II – 4 Months : 3 Courses
  3. Semester III – 4 Months : 1 + 2 (Elective) Courses
  4. Semester IV- 4 Months : 1 + 1 (Elective) Course + 1 Project
  • Exams: Exam will be held at the end of each semester
  • 11 Technical Courses = 33 Credits
  • 1 Project = 03 Credits
  • Total = 36 Credits

Discussion Forum: Participating in online discussions on forums, sharing views and posting questions as well as reviewing other responses is considered under class participation.


Mid Term Exam: Midterm will be between the courses, always covering the material covered in the lectures. The format will be a combination of multiple-choice, short-answer, matching, and/or short essays.


Research Assignment: Research assignments will evaluate an individual’s analytical and critical thinking capabilities. The student can access the college E-Resources to produce a comprehensive report, presentation, case study or evaluation for the research assignment. Students will be provided the rubrics for each assignment. Each assignment will be in general evaluated based on:

  1. Structuring and Presentation of Ideas
  2. Research behind the assignment
  3. Analytical thought process
  4. Provision of accurate and updated facts.


Final Exam: The final exam will be comprehensive of materials covered throughout the semester.
